Pilot USA Inc. announced today it was adding an Auto Shutoff feature to its main line of ANR
headsets. The Auto Shutoff is controlled by the mic bias voltage to the microphone. The ANR headsets will automatically shut-off when it does not see any voltage at the microphone jack
(for example - when the main power to the aircraft is turned off or if the headset is disconnected from the radio or intercom). This feature will prevent users from leaving the headset on and being surprised on their next flight with a dead battery. Older ANR headsets can be retrofitted with the new feature for $75.00.
