PILOT INTRODUCES A MORE AFFORDABLE ANR HEADSET AT SUN N FUN
Pilot has introduced at the EAA Sun N Fun Air Show a more affordable ANR headset combining performance, comfort and affordability. The new LIBERTY PA 17-71, using the same electronics as in Pilot's industry leading Independence PA 17-79, is priced at $299.00 to the end user.

Made in USA, the new headset differs from Pilot's previous ANRs in that it has a separate battery box housing a 9V alkaline battery. A battery life of 20-30 hours depending on noise levels can be expected.

The new unit weighs in at a mere 9.6 ounces making it the lightest full muff style ANR headset in the industry. Performance was not sacrificed and the PA 17-71 achieves 30dB noise reduction at 100 Hz. The unit averages a remarkable passive noise reduction of 27dB across the 63 Hz to 8000 Hz frequency spectrum making it quieter than some competitors ANR headsets even with their ANR turned on.
