Gemini Series | "Self-Contained Communications"

The PA-8000 Gemini System is a unique and versatile communication system that fulfills a need in a specialized market. This system is perfect for those aircraft where there is no power for radio and intercom. It is a combination of two aviation headsets with a built-in voice activated(VOX) intercom. The Control Headset, identifiable by the attached comm-cord, houses the built-in intercom while the Secondary unit houses the 9V battery required to power the intercom. The two headsets are connected by a coiled cord with a connector on each end. At the bottom of each headset is a female jack where the cord’s connector is inserted.

On the boom side of the Control Headset there is an adjustable squelch control for the built-in intercom. On the other ear cup (non-boom side) is a dual purpose knob that functions as an ON/OFF switch for the intercom and as a volume control for the headset. Directly below the dual purpose knob is a Push-To-Talk (PTT) button. The button is depressed when the user wants to talk over the radio. The Secondary Headset is fitted with a volume control on the boom side ear cup and a PTT button on the other ear cup. The PTT is used to talk and broadcast over the radio.

The PA-8000 Gemini system works great in those aircraft without power for a radio or intercom. The system can be expanded by adding a 3rd or 4th unit by linking them with additional coiled cords.
